What is breathwork?

Breathwork is the practice of using your breath consciously to influence how you feel, both physically and mentally.

When we’re angry, anxious, stressed, overwhelmed or overexerted our breathing often becomes shallow, fast or held without us realising. Our mood regulation is impaired and we breath into our upper chest connecting with the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) - our fight and flight. This can lead to elevated cortisol levels, increasing your risk of depression and neurodegenerative disorders.

Gentle breathing practices can help calm the nervous system, release tension and create a greater sense of ease in the body as we connect with the parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS) - our rest and digest.

My approach to breathwork is slow, accessible and supportive. It draws on traditional yoga teachings alongside modern understanding of how breathing affects the body. There is no forceful breathing and no previous experience is needed.

This practice is safe for everybody.

4 Week Online Breathwork Course

This online breathwork course is designed for people who want more support than a single practice can offer, but in a way that feels calm, manageable and personal.

Over four weeks, we work together to build simple breathing habits that support stress regulation and everyday wellbeing.

  • Four 30-minute live online sessions (over four weeks)
